West Ham United claimed a big win on Sunday afternoon, beating Everton 1-0 at Goodison Park as Declan Rice played a starring role.
The Hammers lost to Brentford before the international break but were back to their best against the Toffees.
Angelo Ogbonna’s header gave West Ham a 1-0 victory, but in truth it could have been a much bigger margin.
West Ham were by far the better side and showed their class with Rice running the show in midfield.
Carragher praises West Ham star Rice
Anybody who thinks Rice is just a water carrier in front of the defence is sadly mistaken.
Rice has added driving runs to his game, moving through midfield to support the attack brilliantly.
Combine that with his usual tenacity and defensive awareness and Rice is becoming a complete midfielder.

Late in the game, Rice went rampaging forward but got back into position just as quickly, helping shut down Everton’s attack.
Pundit Jamie Carragher pointed out this moment in the 94th minute of Sunday’s game, telling Sky Sports that Rice was ‘outstanding’.
The desire to get back just as much as he wants to get forward seemingly dazzled Carragher, who loved the England international’s display.
“Declan Rice just broke forward then broke back and got back into position, he’s been outstanding today,” said Carragher.
