Another very talented West Ham United youngster has committed to the Premier League club as it’s been announced that Nathan Holland has signed a new contract at the London Stadium until the summer of 2022.

The 20-year-old winger joined the Hammers setup in January 2017 from Everton and made his first team debut on 19 September 2017 in a League Cup game against Bolton Wanderers, coming on as a 62nd-minute substitute for Sead Haksabanovic (West Ham website).

After a number of injury battles over the past 12 months, Holland is progressing nicely at present, having played ten times for the Under-23s this season in Premier League 2, and he was also on the bench for the Premier League match with Manchester United last month.

Holland is also an England youth international, having made 22 appearances for the Young Lions at various age levels and has scored two goals in the nation’s shirt, according to Transfermarkt.

West Ham boss Manuel Pellegrini was described as “brilliant” by Holland, who harbours hopes of breaking into the first team next season, telling the official website: “The boss likes it when I go quick 1v1 and he gives me confidence and really believes in me to do that. I just try to show that.

“Recently, with the U23s, I’ve tried to be attacking as much as I can and really express myself out there. I think I quickly adapted to his style of play and I think I’ve come on as a player a lot this year. Hopefully I can continue to do that.”

Holland took to Twitter to express his happiness and gratitude to having committed long-term to the club:

A number of West Ham fans – plus Hammers youth coach and former striker Carlton Cole – wished him all the best:
