Carlton Cole is leaving Scottish Premiership side Celtic.

Former West Ham United and Chelsea striker Carlton Cole has told The Scottish Sun that the 2015-16 season was difficult for him.
Cole joined Celtic in October on a free transfer, but he is now leaving the Scottish Premiership outfit.
The English striker could make just five appearances for the Bhoys last season, scoring only once in the process.

On Thursday, Celtic announced on their official website that Cole is leaving Celtic Park.
The 32-year-old striker has admitted that he found it tough at the Hoops last season, but he has thanked the fans for their support and for singing his name even when he was not on the pitch.
“It was a difficult season in terms of getting enough game time,” Cole told The Scottish Sun. “I really wanted to help the boys on the field.
“The support I received from the fans will give me great memories, to hear them singing my name even when I wasn’t on the pitch was special.
“So a big thank you to the green and white family. I wish everyone associated with Celtic FC all the best for the future.”

Cole is a decent striker, but he probably should have done more than he did during his short spell at Celtic.
It will now be interesting to see what the former West Ham and Chelsea striker decides in terms of his future.
The Englishman does have the quality to play in the Premier League, but it is unlikely that he will be first choice for any of the teams in the English top flight next season.
