Carlton Cole has told the Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast, which was broadcast on TalkSPORT on 8th December, that he doesn’t believe West Ham United will be relegated this season.

West Ham have endured a miserable campaign so far, and currently sit in 19th place in the Premier League table.

David Moyes has failed to win any of his first four games in charge at the London Stadium, and the fixture list is doing the Scottish boss no favours.

David Moyes, Manager of Sunderland gives his team instructions during the Premier League match between Arsenal and Sunderland at Emirates Stadium on May 16, 2017 in London, England.

West Ham have games against Chelsea and Arsenal next up, which could extend their winless run.

But Cole still believes that West Ham have enough quality to get out of trouble.

“I don’t think so,” the former Hammers striker said, when asked if he believed West Ham would go down this season.

West Ham manager David Moyes looks on during the Premier League match between Manchester City and West Ham United at Etihad Stadium on December 3, 2017 in Manchester, England.

“We just need to get some momentum going. There’s definitely a hard period coming up, let’s just see the character of the team. The teams I’ve been in have had to dig in to get results.”

West Ham are currently three points away from safety, but are at risk of getting cut adrift.

If the Hammers lose to Arsenal and Chelsea, it could be a long way back to escape out of the relegation zone, with concerns growing at the London Stadium.
