West Ham United are reportedly keen on signing the free agent.

West Ham legend Carlton Cole spoke exclusively to Sky Sports about his former club’s reported interest in signing Samir Nasri, and raved about the Frenchman’s quality, labelling him as a’classy player’.
According to a report from BBC Sport, the 31-year-old former Arsenal and Manchester City ace is training with the Hammers, in an effort to prove that he is worthy of a contract.
Nasri is approaching the end of his 18-month doping ban, and will be allowed to play for West Ham from January 1st onwards, if the east London outfit do decide to offer the Frenchman a deal.
Cole, who enjoys somewhat of a cult hero status amongst the Hammers faithful, offered high words of praise for the free agent, suggesting that he would be a great addition to the West Ham squad, when speaking exclusively to Sky Sports:

“I think the manager has a good relationship with him. We know his class, he’s a classy player. He will bring something different to the squad and he has that experience too. It will be a great addition to the squad but it depends what the manager wants and what the owners want.”
West Ham have made a poor start to their Premier League campaign, and having someone with Nasri’s quality to call upon might just make all the difference for them after the turn of the new year.
