Tottenham were reportedly planning to move for Carlos Soler.

Tottenham Hotspur were reported in January by ESPN to be planning a £30 million summer transfer move for Valencia’s Carlos Soler.
Right now making a move looks more important than ever.
Tottenham are in need of fresh faces, and Soler is a high quality potential addition who would slot straight into the team.
Soler ended the season in superb form for Valencia. So much so that £30 million might not be enough to land him.
The 22-year-old midfielder provided an assist in Valencia’s Copa Del Rey victory over Barcelona.

He ended the league season with goals in their last two matches, against Valladolid and Alaves.
This will potentially have been enough to keep him on Tottenham’s radar heading into the transfer window.
Tottenham’s plans could have changed between January and now, but they would be silly to deviate from their objective to sign Soler.
The central midfielder would make Spurs a stronger team, and become a key player for the Lilywhites in years to come. They should be bold and continue to push ahead to land him.
