Cardiff City defender Sean Morrison is reportedly wanted by Sheffield Wednesday in the summer transfer window.
Sheffield Wednesday have been linked with a move for Cardiff City defender Sean Morrison in the summer transfer window.
The Bluebirds reportedly turned down the offer and are claimed to want close to £6m in order to part company with the 26-year-old centre-back.
Wednesday have gone close to getting promoted to the Premier League for the past two seasons, and in 2017-18 the Owls will be aiming for a top-two finish in the Championship.
The Yorkshire outfit have made just one signing so far – George Boyd on a free transfer – and one suspects that they will bring in more players before the summer transfer window shuts down.
Will one of the new players be Morrison, who has extensive experience of playing in the Championship and is an established centre-back in the division?

Wednesday manager Carlos Carvalhal is not giving anything away, as he told The Star when asked about the Owls’ (reported) interest in Morrison: “I don’t talk about specific players.
“We have been here two years so we know the best players in the Championship. The fans must be with some patience and understand that we have targets but the negotiations are very hard.
“Clubs are asking for money that we can’t pay and that is the reality so we must be careful. We are fighting for players. We are trying to find good players but for one reason or another we have not achieved it yet.”

Carvalhal has also given an update on his search for new players, stating that Wednesday will not sign average footballers.
“We want good centre-halves,” Carvalhal told The Star. “Everybody knows the good centre-halves in the competition. When we go to talk, everything is very expensive.
“We must be careful with Financial Fair Play so it is not easy. We don’t want to bring in average quality. We want to bring in players who have the quality to come into our squad.”
