A question about Fernando Forestieri’s future provoked a tetchy response from Sheffield Wednesday head coach Carlos Carvalhal during Friday’s press conference.
Forestieri was involved in an alleged bust-up with Owls teammate Sam Winnall in training last week, and was omitted from Carvalhal’s last two matchday squads as a result.

Though the Argentina-born attacker has since apologised for his actions, his future at Hillsborough remains unclear.
Over the past 24 hours, Premier League newcomers Brighton & Hove Albion have emerged as clear bookies favourites to sign Forestieri ahead of this month’s transfer deadline.
But when asked by BBC Radio Sheffield whether the 27-year-old wants to leave Wednesday, Carvalhal replied: “No, please don’t talk too much about this situation. I told you, it’s not a problem.”
The Portuguese had previously compared Forestieri’s situation to that of being caught driving through a red light, suggesting the player has received his punishment and will now be allowed to continue as normal.
On whether Forestieri will be involved when the Owls travel to Fulham on Saturday, he added: “Nothing is different from what I told you last time. Let’s see if he’s involved or not.”
Carvalhal also revealed that captain Glenn Loovens has a small chance of featuring having resumed training, although new recruit Frederico Venancio is still awaiting clearance to play for Wednesday.
