AC Milan striker Carlos Bacca has admitted he considered joining West Ham in the summer and was impressed with their proposal.
Speaking to radio station Cadena Ser, reported by Tuttomercatoweb, the Colombian international says he gave the option serious thought.

Bacca decided to remain with AC Milan, and says one of the reasons he did not join was because he was worried about passport complications, not just for himself, but his family.
He said: “The offer of West Ham was very good I thought.
“I thought about my family, about how we would fit and problems that a South American soccer player can have in terms of the non-EU passport.”

Bacca himself would likely have qualified for a work permit as he is a regular for Colombia, recently playing at the Copa America, yet he evidently was not ready to uproot, having only moved to Italy from Spain a year earlier.
He did not address one of the principle reasons thought to be behind his snub, the fact West Ham could not offer him Champions League football.
Bacca recently turned 30, but has had an impressive start to the season for AC Milan, scoring three goals in his opening three Serie A games.
