Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner have spent much of the year going head-to-head in the race to be considered the world’s top player.
Across six meetings in 2025, the pair have each claimed two Grand Slam titles.
In their most recent clash, Sinner picked up his second win of the season over Alcaraz at the ATP Finals.
Alcaraz holds a 10-6 edge in their head-to-head record, but that’s not where his dominance stops.
Alcaraz’s serving numbers highlight 2025 progress
Carlos Alcaraz has made big strides with his serve this season, and the stats back it up. The Spaniard finished the year with 463 aces, 198 more than he managed in 2024.
Sinner, meanwhile, hit 405 aces in 2025, down from 563 the previous year. It’s worth noting that his suspension at the start of the season likely played a role in that drop.

Alcaraz averaged 5.8 aces per game this season, an increase of 1.7 aces compared to last year. Over their past eight meetings, he’s also hit more winners than Sinner six times.
The top 20 ace leaders in 2025
Even with the progress Alcaraz has made with his serve, he still ranks just 14th in total aces for the year.
Taylor Fritz leads the way with a remarkable 867 aces, followed by Reilly Opelka, Felix Auger-Aliassime, Jakub Mensik, and Alexander Bublik rounding out the top five.
Sinner, even after missing a third of the season due to suspension, still managed to crack the top 20 and sit at number 19 on the ATP Tour’s ace list.
Novak Djokovic is just ahead of him in 18th place after hitting 138 more aces this season than he did last year.
