Carlos Alcaraz took a trip to Bahrain for the F1 pre-season testing event.
The Australian Open champion wanted to take a look at the new generation of F1 cars.
After a ‘Shakedown’ event in Barcelona, the 11 teams travelled to Bahrain for the first official test of the 2026 season.

Alcaraz was in and around the paddock, taking pictures with some of the sport’s most recognizable faces.
Including two former world champions…
Carlos Alcaraz meets Lewis Hamilton and Fernando Alonso in Bahrain
Alcaraz’s Instagram story displayed an array of pictures with some of F1’s biggest names.
First, he posted a picture with his countryman, Fernando Alonso.
Alonso is a two-time F1 champion and finished 10th in the 2025 drivers’ standings.

He also reposted a picture from Lewis Hamilton’s Instagram story.
Alcaraz posed for a snap with the record-seven-time world champion.
The Spaniard wasn’t done there, though, as he continued to make his way through the paddock!
He posted pictures with Carlos Sainz, Pierre Gasly, Franco Colapinto, Flavio Briatore, Charles Leclerc, and Andrea Stella.
As usual, Alcaraz had a smile on his face the entire time, as he enjoyed a day away from the practice courts.
He won’t stay in Bahrain for long, though, as he prepares to return to ATP Tour action next week!
Where will Carlos Alcaraz play next?
Alcaraz will return to tennis at the Qatar Open in Doha.
He played the event for the first time in 2025, but failed in his bid to win the title.
After beating Marin Cilic and Luca Nardi, Alcaraz met Czechia’s Jiri Lehecka in the quarterfinals.
In three sets, Alcaraz lost to Lehecka, 3-6, 6-3, 4-6.
He’ll return with title ambitions in 2026, determined to make up for his quarterfinal defeat a year ago.
Unfortunately for Alcaraz, this time, he will be joined by his greatest rival, Jannik Sinner.

The Italian missed the 2025 Qatar Open due to suspension, but has been the best player in the world on hard courts over recent years.
They were supposed to be joined by another Grand Slam star, Novak Djokovic, but the Serb withdrew from the event with ‘strong fatigue’.
With Djokovic out, the eight seeds for the 2026 Qatar Open are: Alcaraz, Sinner, Felix Auger-Aliassime, Alexander Bublik, Daniil Medvedev, Andrey Rublev, Jakub Mensik, and Karen Khachanov.
Only time will tell who will emerge victorious in Doha, but you certainly won’t want to miss any of the action.
The 2026 Qatar Open begins on Monday, February 16.
