Everton boss Carlo Ancelotti spoke to Sky Sports about managing current Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane.
The Frenchman is undoubtedly one of the best players ever to grace the game, and his connection with Ancelotti has remained solid over the years.
Zidane worked as the Italian’s assistant at Real Madrid years after he retired and eventually succeeded him there.
Speaking about the Frenchman, Ancelotti has claimed that Zidane was responsible for changing his whole idea of football.
He said: “With Zidane, I tried to change my idea about the system. Zidane is the first player who gave me the possibility to change the system and play in a different way.
“Zidane changed my idea about football, I was so focused before Juventus on 4-4-2 and after with Zidane, I changed, I wanted to put him in the best position for him to let him be more comfortable on the pitch.”

An incredible player in his own right, Zidane is proving to be just as good in management. The Frenchman is tipped to have a fantastic career as a manager, having led Real Madrid to multiple Champions League wins.
According to a report from Defensa Central, Newcastle United’s soon-to-be new owners are interested in appointing Zidane as the club’s next boss.
That would be one hell of a statement by the Magpies this summer. Someone who changed the way a manager of Ancelotti’s stature thinks about football can only be a positive influence on Newcastle…if they can convince him to join them.
