Everton boss Carlo Ancelotti has told the Liverpool Echo that his focus isn’t on bringing Isco to Goodison Park.
The Toffees lost 2-1 at Newcastle United on Sunday, as Callum Wilson’s brace handed the Magpies all three points, with Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s goal a mere consolation.
After such a strong start to the season, Everton have now lost twice in a row, and clearly missed both Richarlison and James Rodriguez on Sunday.
They lacked some creativity and end product in the final third, which may have left Everton fans desperate for the addition of Isco.
The Mirror reported on Saturday that Everton are the favourites to sign Isco, and James Rodriguez wants to reunite with him on Merseyside.
Isco himself is thought to be keen on joining Everton, with Real Madrid now ready to let the playmaker leave on loan with a view to an £18million permanent move.

Landing the 28-year-old would be another huge coup for Everton, just like Rodriguez, and Ancelotti has previously called the Spaniard ‘untouchable’ having worked together at Real.
On Sunday, Ancelotti was unsurprisingly asked about a move for Isco, but remained coy by stating that he is ‘fantastic’ but he is not focused there, because he needs to prepare to face Manchester United rather than think about January signings.
“Isco is a fantastic player and [I have] a fantastic memory of him but now I am not, honestly, focused there,” said Ancelotti. “I am focused on an important week we are going to have to recover players and to be well prepared for the game against United,” he added.
