The Chilean is Arsenal’s top goal-scorer this season.
Arsenal defender Carl Jenkinson has praised forward Alexis Sanchez to the club’s official website, saying the Chilean’s work rate is under appreciated.
Sanchez has found himself playing as a centre-forward this season after manager Arsene Wenger decided to move him from his usual left wing role.
He has impressed in the position, scoring ten goals in all competitions to sit as the Gunners top goal-scorer this season.
The Chilean’s movement off the ball has been nothing short of exceptional, with Wenger even likening him to Barcelona star Luis Suarez.

And now Jenkinson has praised him, saying his high work rate is often underappreciated.
“It’s a pleasure to play behind a player like that,” he told Arsenal’s official website.
“On the ball he’s fantastic and people know what he offers and what he can bring, and just to see his work rate is great.
“People underestimate how hard he works sometimes because people always look at what he can do with the ball, but his work-rate is exceptional.”

Jenkinson will now be hoping that Sanchez can maintain his fine form and continue to help the Gunners push for the title this season.
They are currently fourth in the table and three points behind leaders Chelsea, so they are very much in the mix at this stage.
Sanchez has been key in helping them to that position and they will need him to continue starring for as long as possible if they are to challenge throughout.
