Arsenal have been blessed to have some outstanding technical players over the years.
Arsene Wenger played a huge part in these highly skilled and quick-thinking playmakers donning the Arsenal colours.
Carl Jenkinson was blessed to have spent several years at the Premier League giants and he played alongside many top stars.
The right-back, who is currently a free agent after leaving Australian side Newcastle Jets, spent eight years at his boyhood club.
He has since come out and shared who are some of the best players he has played with at the London club.
Jenkinson stated that Olivier Giroud is the best striker he played with at Arsenal and now he has now named the best midfielder.
The one-cap England star played alongside Jack Wilshere, and whilst he lauded him as a gifted player, he didn’t name him as the best midfielder.
Many would also point towards Mesut Ozil because he was a pure genius on the ball, even if his Arsenal career ended in a sour manner.
The man Jenkinson put forward was Santi Cazorla and how he was ‘mustard’ in training, as he told talkSPORT.
The Spanish star became a hero when he scored a memorable goal in the FA Cup final against Hull City and showcased a crazy ability to take corners from both sides.
Santi Cazorla at Arsenal
“Best midfield player, Santi Cazorla,” said Jenkinson. “He was just mustard (in Arsenal training). Both feet. The ball stuck to his feet like glue.
“He would take corners with his left foot and his right foot. And he was quite a diminutive guy. Tiny. He wasn’t quick. But you just couldn’t get the ball off him. He was so good.”

Martin Odegaard at Arsenal
Arsenal now have Odegaard wowing fans and he is someone who would have formed a quite stunning partnership with either Cazorla or Ozil.
Whilst Cazorla and Ozil won domestic trophies, they weren’t able to win the main crown and that’s what will hurt them the most.

Odegaard is now tasked with helping Arsenal win the Premier League title because they are now closer than ever before.
The might of Pep Guardiola and Manchester City stand in their way, with huge games, including the north London derby and a trip to the Etihad, coming up after the international break.
