Leeds United slipped to defeat against Cardiff.
Cardiff City were the better side as they won a top of the table clash at home to Leeds United.
The Bluebirds raced into a 3-0 lead and went onto win 3-1.
Former Leeds United striker Noel Whelan gave his instant reaction to the performance to BBC Radio Leeds.
He said: “The goals scored this evening were very good goals, they (Cardiff) come alive in the final third.
“Leeds have got to re-group and go again.
“I felt we had enough in the team that started to get something out of the game, but you have got to give credit to Cardiff.
“I take a lot of heart from the way they battled in the second half.”
The two teams came into the game level on points, but it was Cardiff who deserved the victory.
Neil Warnock’s side lined up with former Leeds defender Sol Bamba in central midfield, while the away side surprisingly left out key midfielder Eunan O’Kane.
Star striker Pierre-Michel Lasogga was also left on the bench, with Kemar Roofe starting up front.
Leeds’ task was made tougher late in the first half as centre-back Liam Cooper was sent off after picking up a second booking.
The Whites had conceded to Kenneth Zohore’s opener after he took advantage of a slip from midfielder Mateusz Klich.
It was a second away league loss in succession for Leeds after losing to Millwall previously. This weekend they travel to Sheffield Wednesday.
