Cardiff City are reportedly hoping that they can sign the Everton striker on loan during the January transfer window.

A number of Cardiff City fans have taken to Twitter to comment on reports emerging from the Daily Mirror last week suggesting that the Bluebirds are eyeing a January loan move for Everton striker Oumar Niasse.
Niasse has endured a tough spell since moving to Goodison Park for £16 million in 2016. He barely featured in the months following his move and was not seen once during Ronald Koeman’s only full season in charge – instead spending the second-half of the campaign on loan at Marco Silva’s Hull City.
He scored nine times for the Toffees last season, but is yet to start in the league since Silva’s appointment and could now be set for a move to a Premier League rival.

Their top goalscorer so far, Callum Paterson is doing a fine job at leading the line in fairness, but he is not a natural striker. So perhaps Neil Warnock fears that that may come back to haunt them if he does not add to his ranks.
Most of the Cardiff fans on social media appear to be pleased with the rumours. They feel that Niasse could be exactly what they need during the second-half of the campaign – though it must be mentioned that a deal would not currently be possible without one of their current loans being converted into a permanent move.

Here is what some of the Cardiff supporters make of the Niasse reports…
