Everton recorded a comfortable win against Cardiff in their recent Premier League encounter.
Sol Bamba has claimed that Everton forward Dominic Calvert-Lewin was ‘shouting’ at this teammates for not passing him the ball during his side’s 3-0 win against Cardiff on Tuesday night.
Centre-back Bamba played the full match against the Toffees as he shared that Calvert-Lewin’s movement impressed him on the night
Marco Silva’s side recorded a much-needed three points, with playmaker Gylfi Sigurdsson netting a brace and Calvert-Lewin netting his fifth goal of the campaign.
Speaking to the Football Centre on Sky Sports News (27/02/2019 at 12:25 pm), Bamba shared what it was like playing against Calvert-Lewin for the first time in his career.
“Never played against him. The first time [on Tuesday], he’s very good,” Bamba told Sky Sports News. “His movement is good. He was vocal as well.
“When he didn’t receive the ball, he was shouting to the midfield player to make sure they find him. I think he’s a good young, English player.”
Cardiff captain Bamba endured a tough night against Silva’s attack-minded team, with their forward line proving to be too good for the Bluebirds.
While Neil Warnock will be preparing his team for a tough relegation battle in these last few months, Silva will be hoping his team can push into the Premier League’s top 10.
At this moment in time, they are sitting ninth in the table and if they finish off the season in a positive fashion then they will secure a top half finish.
Nonetheless, at the weekend, Everton will turn their attention to the Merseyside derby and the visit of current leaders Liverpool, who are aiming to win their first league title in nearly three decades.
