HITC Sport understands Cardiff City are in talks to sign Monaco defender Almamy Toure.

Cardiff City are hoping to beat the transfer deadline to sign highly-rated Monaco defender Almamy Toure, HITC Sport understands from sources close to the club.
Cardiff boss Neil Warnock is desperate to bolster his squad before Thursday’s transfer deadline and he has made defensive reinforcements one of his top priorities.
Toure has emerged on Cardiff’s radar after finding himself out of favour of Monaco for much of this season.
The 22-year-old has only made five appearances in all competitions and Cardiff are hoping the offer of regular first-team football could lure him away from the Stade Louis II.

Toure is out of contract at Monaco this summer and the French club would prefer to cash-in on him now rather than risk allowing him to run down his contract and leave for free at the end of the season.
Toure can play at right-back as well as centre-back and his versatility makes him an attractive proposition to Warnock as he looks to bolster his squad options.
