HITC Sport understands Cardiff have agreed a deal for the Rotherham defender.
Cardiff City have agreed a deal for Rotherham United’s Greg Halford, HITC Sport understands from sources close to the club.
Cardiff boss Neil Warnock is a big admirer of Halford, having worked with the 32-year-old during his time in charge of The Millers last season.

Warnock is looking to bolster his squad during this month’s transfer window and he sees Halford’s experience and versatility as being a valuable addition to his plans.
Halford played a key role in helping Warnock guide Rotherham to safety in the Championship last season against all the odds, with the utility player making 26 appearances for the Millers last term.

Halford, who has made 14 appearances so far this season, is out of contract at the end of the season and Cardiff have moved to sign him for a nominal fee.
The well-travelled performer is expected to go straight into the Cardiff squad for this weekend’s FA Cup with Fulham.
Halford’s 15-year career started at Colchester and has taken him to Reading, Sunderland, Charlton, Sheffield United, Wolves, Portsmouth, Nottingham Forest, Brighton and Birmingham City.
