There’s no doubt that this Luis Diaz injury has hindered Liverpool somewhat.
Diaz was ruled out of Colombia’s World Cup campaign after picking up an injury in the Reds’ defeat by Arsenal in the Premier League last month.
Colombia-based journalist Pipe Sierra has revealed on Twitter that the 25-year-old – a £49 million signing by Liverpool in January [Sky Sports] – returned to South America to continue his rehabilitation.
And here’s how Jose Enrique reacted to that update on Twitter:

Liverpool are into the knockout stages of the Champions League but their Premier League campaign has been atrocious.
Jurgen Klopp’s side are ninth in the table and with Diogo Jota also sidelined, well it’s clear that absences haven’t helped the Reds one iota.
It remains to be seen when exactly Diaz will be returning, despite Enrique’s optimistic tweet.
The South American could still be absent until the new year in what will be a crushing blow for Klopp because if Liverpool are already eight points behind fourth-placed Newcastle, what’s their top-four bid going to look like come January?
