Some Tottenham Hotspur fans on social media have been reacting after it was announced that Bryan Gil has signed from Sevilla.
The 20-year-old joins Spurs in a part-exchange deal that has seen Erik Lamela go the other way.
This is the second signing of the Nuno Espirito Santo era, and it’s fair to say that fans are excited by this one.
At the age of 20, Gil has a very high ceiling, and given Nuno’s ability to develop young attacking talent in the past, such as Diogo Jota and Pedro Neto, this looks to be something of a coup.
Fans were going wild after it was announced that Gil had signed, with one fan claiming that he’s the best youngster in the world, while another labelled him the next Lionel Messi.
It remains to be seen whether or not Gil can live up to his potential at Spurs, but fans are certainly very excited about this arrival.
