Speaking on his YouTube channel, Rio Ferdinand has dropped something of a bombshell about Kylian Mbappe amid links to Real Madrid.
The Manchester United legend claims that he’s heard it on good authority that Mbappe will stay at PSG beyond this summer, despite ongoing and strong links to Real Madrid over the past 12 months.
It’s no secret that Madrid want Mbappe, but according to Ferdinand, there’s a good chance that the striker will carry on at PSG as reports circulate about a massive offer coming from the Ligue 1 giants.

“I think Mbappe stays at PSG, I think he stays, I’ve heard a decent little bit of information from somewhere, I can’t tell you where,” Ferdinand said.

Well, aside from being a former pro, Ferdinand has his fingers in a lot of pies.
Let’s not forget, he was seemingly one of the first people to know about Cristiano Ronaldo’s return to Manchester United – teasing the move on Twitter before any concrete links even emerged.
So, how would Ferdinand know anything about Mbappe? Well, it’s only been a few weeks since the former centre-back was interviewing the man himself for BT Sport alongside Mauricio Pochettino. He could easily have heard something from either or those sources, or even from the likes of Angel Di Maria or Ander Herrera – two players he’ll know fairly well after their stints at Manchester United.
Ferdinand has been the first to a big story before when Ronaldo joined United in the summer, so don’t be surprised if he’s once again the man in the know when it comes to one of the world’s biggest footballers.
Mbappe could be staying in Paris, and that’s a big blow for Real Madrid.
