Glenn Hoddle has told his self-titled podcast that he simply cannot see Luis Suarez signing for Liverpool this summer.
Reports in recent days that suggested that Suarez could make a return to Anfield in the near future, as Liverpool look to increase their productivity in front of goal.
But Hoddle feels that the time has past for the Uruguayan to actually improve Liverpool’s squad now.
He said: “I can’t see that happening if I’m honest. I’ve watched Suarez this season, obviously against Chelsea. He relied on pace, that little bit of zip over five or six years, he hasn’t got that any more.
“I don’t think Liverpool will be looking to buy Suarez any more, I really don’t.”

Despite Hoddle’s claims that Suarez has slowed down, the 34-year-old has actually been in supreme form for Atletico Madrid this season.
Suarez has netted 19 goals in 26 games in La Liga this season, and Liverpool would really have benefitted from having a number nine with those sort of scoring figures.
Of their front three only Mohamed Salah has scored with real regularity this term, with Liverpool suffering as a result.
The Reds’ space in the top four is no longer secured, although whether that is actually a priority for Jurgen Klopp’s side following the formation of a European Super League is very much up for debate.
