David Moyes thinks that West Ham United have made an absolutely brilliant signing by bringing Tomas Soucek to the club, as per his comments to BBC Sport.
Soucek hit his eighth goal of the season for West Ham last night, in their win against Aston Villa.
The Czech midfielder finished impressively to open the scoring for his side and continue his wonderful run of form.
Soucek joined West Ham for just under £20 million from Slavia Prague (BBC Sport), but his value has already increased hugely since his move to the London Stadium.
And Moyes says that West Ham simply cannot play down the brilliance of the business they completed last year now.
“Soucek has been a brilliant buy since we brought him in a year ago,” he said. “We can’t hide it anymore. He brings a lot of what we need at West Ham at the moment.”
Soucek is generally renowned for his aerially ability, but he showed that he is far more than just a battering ram and is actually a very accomplished finisher.

His driving runs from midfield caused Villa all sorts of problems, especially with Jesse Lingard and Said Benrahma in great form further forward.
West Ham’s win has left them sitting in fifth place in the Premier League table, and there is cautious optimism building that they could mount a challenge for Europe.
