Tottenham Hotspur central defender Toby Alderweireld has raved about Harry Kane on talkSPORT.

Alderweireld has said that he cannot speak highly enough of his Tottenham teammate, and has said that the England international striker is doing his best to be fit for the EFL Cup final against Manchester City this weekend.

The Belgium international central defender told talkSPORT about Kane: “Everyone hopes he is going to be fit. He wants to be fit. We have to see day by day.

“He is an unbelievable player, I can’t credit him enough, but we have managed in difficult periods without him as well to win games.

“If he is not there Sunday, we have to find a way. Of course we want him to be there, but if not we have to find a way.”

Kane is one of the best strikers in the world and is arguably the most important player in the Tottenham team.

The 27-year-old striker suffered an ankle injury during Tottenham’s Premier League game against Everton last week and did not play against Southampton in midweek.

Spurs interim-manager Ryan Mason has said that he is not sure if Kane will be fit enough to play against Premier League rivals City in the EFL Cup final on Sunday.

City will head into the final as favourites, and without Kane in the squad, it is going to be hard for Spurs interim-manager Mason.

However, there is still hope at Spurs that Kane will recover and will be able to take some part in the game.

According to WhoScored, the 27-year-old striker has scored 21 goals and provided 13 assists in the Premier League for Spurs this season.
