Some Leeds United fans on Twitter are discussing footage of Barry Douglas.
The 31-year-old was released by Leeds this summer after three years on the Elland Road club’s books.
Since leaving, Douglas, who spent the last year of his Leeds career on loan at Blackburn Rovers, has signed up for a second spell with Polish outfit Lech Poznan.
And on Friday night, he scored his first goal since going back – and what a pearler it was.
The one-time Scotland international opened the scoring after just three minutes with a superb free kick, bending the ball over the wall with that wand of a left foot that he possesses.
Here’s how some Leeds fans are reacting on Twitter:
Dodgy
Douglas was one of three left-backs who Orta allowed to leave Leeds during the summer.
Ezgjan Alioski – who was offered a new deal in West Yorkshire – also left on a Bosman, while Leif Davis was loaned to Bournemouth in the Championship.
It’s a dodgy strategy considering Orta only signed one left-back and although it was Junior Firpo from Barcelona, which is a big deal in itself, Marcelo Bielsa is still a tad light in that area.
