Rob Jones has made a sarcastic comment on Twitter about Liverpool’s win against West Ham United at Anfield on Saturday evening.
Liverpool got the better of West Ham 2-1 at home in the Premier League.
Diogo Jota scored what proved to be the winning goal in the 85th minute of the encounter.
The defending English champions had an earlier goal disallowed. Jota had the ball in the back of the Hammers’ net, but it was ruled out for Sadio Mane’s foul on Angelo Ogbonna.
Former Liverpool right-back Jones was following the match, and he has expressed his surprise – sarcastically, of course – that VAR did not rule out Jota’s goal as well.
Title match
Liverpool were far from perfect against West Ham and had to work hard for the three points.
In the end, Jurgen Klopp’s side got the job done, and now the Merseyside outfit are at the top of the Premier League table with 16 points from seven matches.
Although the defending English champions have scored 17 goals in the league, they have conceded as many as 15, and it is clear that defensively the Reds need to improve.
