Arsenal have confirmed on Twitter that Steve Bould has left the club – and Jack Wilshere ‘can’t believe it’.
The Gunners revealed on social media yesterday evening that their long-serving defender and Under-23 coach has departed.
In total, Bould has served a total of 33 years at Arsenal.
Not only did he win Premier League titles at Highbury but the former centre-back also spent six years as Arsene Wenger’s number two at the Emirates Stadium.
Most recently, he coached the Under-23 side, having previously worked with the young players at London Colney prior to being Wenger’s assistant.

And he is.
The more Arsenal men that the club lose, the more worrying it is for the North Londoners.
This is a delicate time for the Londoners, who haven’t won the Premier League since 2004 and haven’t qualified for the Champions League since 2016.
They’re nowhere near good enough at the moment and although there’s been some promising signs under Mikel Arteta, they also finished eighth during the past two seasons.
Bould, as a person, can’t change that, but symbolically his departure is another sign that the new regime at Arsenal are trying to do things their own way, with a complete reform at every facet of the club, and time will tell whether it’s a successful strategy.
