Liverpool fans have taken to Twitter to react after Jürgen Klopp complimented Fenway Sports Group following the 1-1 draw against Leeds.
Speaking to Sky Sports, the German was asked about Liverpool’s decision to sign up for the European Super League.
It was one of Liverpool’s owners – John W Henry – who pushed for the European Super League’s creation.
The Times state that he will be named as one of several vice-chairmen of the organisation.
When quizzed on Liverpool’s involvement, Klopp said: “The owners of this club are good people. They are reasonable people. They will try to explain the decision to me.”
Now, a number of Liverpool supporters are upset with his comments, and rightly so.

Of course, Klopp doesn’t want to get himself sacked live on air with a complete outburst on the matter.
However, he arguably could’ve done more to voice his disapproval, instead of aiming compliments in FSG’s directions.
In fairness, Klopp did say that he remains against the idea of a European Super League, and revealed to Sky Sports that he only found out about Liverpool’s involvement on Sunday.

The lack of communication trickling down from FSG, amid such a historic time in football, is very, very poor.
Klopp and the players should’ve been among the first to know, rather than find out when everyone else did.
Let’s see what the Liverpool fans on Twitter have been saying about Klopp’s comments on FSG…
