Some Arsenal fans on Twitter are reacting to Granit Xhaka’s latest Instagram post.

The Switzerland international has been ruled out for three months with ligament damage.

Xhaka suffered the injury in Arsenal’s 3-1 win over Tottenham Hotspur last week.

But despite the blow, the 29-year-old midfielder is already on the comeback trail and uploaded a photo of himself on an exercise bike at London Colney on Thursday.

Here’s what some Arsenal fans are saying on Twitter:

Blow

This is a big blow because like him or hate him, Xhaka’s an important player for Mikel Arteta and the North Londoners.

He has played in close to 90 percent of the games since joining Arsenal for £30 million back in 2016 and considering three different coaches have rated him – Arteta, Arsene Wenger and Unai Emery – that’s proof of his importance, even if it goes under the fans’ radar from time to time.

The Emirates Stadium club have a number of able deputies, though, and it’ll be interesting to see who Arteta starts alongside Thomas Partey in midfield this weekend as the Gunners visit Brighton.
