Clinton Morrison told BBC Radio 5 Live that Uche Ikpeazu was causing Tottenham defender Toby Alderweireld ‘all kinds of problems’ last night.
Spurs booked their place in the next round of the FA Cup with a 4-1 win against Wycombe – but the scoreline did flatter the Premier League outfit slightly.
Gareth Ainsworth’s men took the lead in the first half when Alderweireld simply couldn’t handle Ikpeazu’s brute strength and his ball across the penalty area found Fred Onyedinma, who slotted home.
If it wasn’t for a flurry towards the end of the game, then Spurs would have been heading for extra-time, as ex-Palace hitman Morrison shared his thoughts on Alderweireld’s struggles against Ikpeazu.
“Ikpeazu is causing Alderweireld all kinds of problems up top,” said Morrison. “Just get the ball up to him.
“He’s buying free-kicks. He is being clever in and around the box. And cannot handle him.”

During his Tottenham career, Alderweireld would have come up against a lot of tricky opponents, but Ikpeazu just wasn’t allowing him to settle yesterday.
It will be interesting to see if Jose Mourinho selects the £80k-a-week Spurs star [Spotrac] for Tottenham’s clash against Liverpool on Thursday night because he did rest a number of key players for the FA Cup win.
Joe Rodon, who has impressed in recent weeks, was on the bench for Spurs, which perhaps hints that he may start against the champions.
