Tottenham Hotspur loanee Oliver Skipp seems to be getting better and better whilst out on loan.

Spurs sent the 20-year-old midfielder to Norwich City for the 2020-21 campaign and it just might be the making of him.

Skipp, labelled a future Tottenham captain by Jose Mourinho, has started all 25 of City’s league games as Daniel Farke’s side sit top of the second tier and on course for a Premier League return.

It’s been no secret that the Hotspur Way academy product – who has 15 top-flight games under his belt already – is a tough tackling midfielder who gets himself about the park as tenaciously as a pitbull.

But it looks like he also has the eye and capabilities to ping a 40-yard ball in the vein of Steven Gerrard.

Norwich beat Bristol City 2-0 last night and some Tottenham fans are reacting to footage of a sumptuous pass that he played from deep in his own half.

Mourinho has some brilliant midfielders, like Tanguy Ndombele and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, but there’s also a few who just might struggle to have a long-term future in North London, like Harry Winks and Moussa Sissoko.

On this form, the Portuguese might well keep Skipp in his plans for senior football next term.

If he has come on leaps and bounds at Norwich then it’s genuinely exciting to consider how much better he could become playing under Mourinho in the long term.
