Paul Merson has predicted on SportsKeeda that Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City will win against Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s Manchester United at Old Trafford.

United will take on City at home in the Premier League tomorrow.

Former Arsenal star Merson has backed the Citizens to pick up all three points from the Manchester derby.

The Sky Sports pundit believes that the defending Premier League champions will win 3-1.

Paul Merson’s verdict

Merson said: “Manchester City also have a bit of a selection problem. It’s pretty hard to pick between Grealish, Foden, and Mahrez, and it’ll be interesting to see what Pep does this weekend.

“It’s a big game for Manchester City – they’re already four points behind Chelsea and cannot afford to lose at Old Trafford.

“Liverpool tore Manchester United to shreds last week, and I don’t see anything other than a Manchester City victory here.”

Manchester City are favourites

United have a certain Cristiano Ronaldo in their team, but, in our view, City are the favourites.

We think that the Manchester derby is City’s to lose.

The Citizens are playing well at the moment and are scoring goals for fun.

Guardiola’s side scored four goals in the Champions League in midweek.

Now, of course, you could point out that City lost to Crystal Palace in the Premier League last weekend, and United beat Tottenham Hotspur at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

But remember how Liverpool destroyed United at Old Trafford last month?

Now, it is unlikely that United will collapse like they did against Liverpool, but we think that a win for City is the most likely outcome.
