Liverpool fans have been left frustrated after Sky Sports reported that Jordan Henderson is set to miss their game against Leicester City this weekend.
Henderson was substituted off at half-time for England in midweek, after feeling ‘tightness in his leg’.
The Liverpool midfielder’s time on international duty has been cut short, amid fears that he could miss out on playing on Sunday.
And it seems that the Reds’ fears have been confirmed, with Sky suggesting that Liverpool will be without their captain at the weekend.
The news has frustrated Liverpool fans, with their side suffering terribly with injuries at the moment.
Liverpool are facing the prospect of playing Leicester with the entirety of their usual back-four out.
With Henderson, Fabinho and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain also set to be unavailable, Liverpool’s midfield options also look extremely limited.
Leicester is hardly the ideal fixture for Jurgen Klopp’s side, as they have so many players out.
The Foxes currently lead the way in the Premier League, and could move four points clear of Liverpool if they are able to beat them on Sunday evening.
