Milot Rashica is a player capable of winning matches all on his own according to Werder Bremen coach Florian Kohfeldt, who is backing the Liverpool, Aston Villa and Wolves target to rediscover his golden touch.

While Kai Havertz has taken his game to an all-new level in front of the watching world since the Bundesliga’s resumption, another talented forward linked with a big-money move to the Premier League is struggling for form.

Rashica has scored just one league goal since November. And, as a result, the critics have been queuing up to question a £33 million winger who has been linked with a move to Jurgen Klopp’s Premier League leaders (Weser Kurier).

The Kosovo international did show some signs of recovery as relegation threatened Werder secured a vital win at Schalke on Saturday, however, setting up Leonardo Bittencourt’s stunning, long-range winner.

And Kohfeldt knows that he needs more from his star man if the 2004 Bundesliga champions are to climb out of the bottom three before it’s too late.

“I’m sure he will rediscover his form in front of goal,” Kohfeldt said ahead of tonight’s home clash with fellow underachievers Eintracht Frankfurt.

“Milot can win a game on his own with a single action. Not many players can do that. His commitment is beyond reproach. The way he works for the team always makes him valuable to us.”

Relegation for Werder would, in fact, be a boost to the growing array of clubs keen to take Rashica away from Germany this summer. His release clause will drop to just £13 million unless Kohfeldt can lead his team to safety, with Aston Villa watching the situation closely (The Mirror).

Wolves and West Ham are also in the race, according to Deich Stube.
