Some Liverpool fans have taken to Twitter to give their reaction to the performance of Newcastle United winger Allan Saint-Maximin at Anfield.

Saint-Maximin is one of the best players at Newcastle, and the 24-year-old was superb for Newcastle in the Premier League game against Liverpool at Anfield this afternoon.

The winger started in a front-two with Joelinton and was a constant problem for the Liverpool defence with his pace, running and skills.

According to WhoScored, Saint-Maximin played one key pass, had a pass accuracy of 73.9%, took 58 touches, attempted eight dribbles, made one tackle, and put in two crosses.

So far this season, the winger has made 14 starts and six substitute appearances in the Premier League for the Magpies, scoring three goals and providing four assists in the process, according to WhoScored.

Some Liverpool fans were impressed by the performance of Saint-Maximin and want manager Jurgen Klopp to sign him in the summer transfer window.

Below are some of the best comments:

Saint-Maximin has had injury problems and coronavirus this season, but when the 24-year-old winger has played, he has been very good.

The Frenchman has been brilliant for the Magpies since he joined the club in 2019, and one should not be surprised if there is speculation on his future this summer.

It remains to be seen if Liverpool will make a move for the 24-year-old this summer, but one should not be surprised if another top club in England or mainland Europe come for Saint-Maximin.
