Tottenham Hotspur made perhaps the biggest signing of transfer deadline day when they snapped up French midfielder Moussa Sissoko.
Spurs splashed out £30 million on the French international in order to bring him in from Newcastle United.
Many pundits and fans have been doubting whether he is worth such a price-tag, but if he can emulate the form of another Frenchman who switched from Newcastle to Spurs back in 1997.

Ginola made the move to Spurs after failing to form a positive relationship with Kenny Dalglish at Newcastle.
He was of course a massive hit at White Hart Lane.
The mercurial attacker spent three seasons at Spurs and was named the PFA Players’ Player and Football Writers Player of the Year for the 1998-99 season.

Sissoko has a similar unpredictable style to Ginola although it could be argued he is a more rounded all-round player.
His consistency needs to be worked on but if he can turn in his best on a regular basis there is no reason why the 27-year-old cannot follow in the footsteps of cult hero and fellow Frenchman Ginola.
