Tottenham have been linked to former Liverpool attacker Suso.

Liverpool splashed out this month to make Mohamed Salah their record signing, despite an underwhelming spell at Chelsea.

Salah lit up Serie A last season and Reds fans believe Chelsea’s rash decision making regarding the Egyptian can be to their huge benefit.

But it isn’t like Liverpool have been faultless themselves with regards to the players they have let go in recent years either, and of their off-casts has been linked with a move to competitors Tottenham Hotspur.

According to Spanish newspaper Marca, Tottenham are keen on AC Milan ace Suso, who left Liverpool in early 2015, a full year before Salah’s move to Roma became permanent.

Like Salah who netted 15 times last season, Suso has become a star in Serie A and played a prominent role last season.

Suso is two years younger than Salah and had his best season yet for Milan last year.

He scored seven goals and provided nine assists – the joint highest combined tally of any Milan player equal with Carlos Bacca.

Suso left Liverpool after failing to get promises of first team football and his decision has been justified, like Salah’s choice to leave Chelsea.

A move to Tottenham could suit the winger and there is reason to believe it could happen, with Spurs unsuccessful in their recent purchases of wide players, and Erik Lamela being a long term injury absentee.

Suso has only one year left on his contract at Milan and the Italian giants have been on a spending spree of their own this summer.

He is a key player but not irreplaceable, and just like Chelsea have reason to feel nervous about Salah’s success at Liverpool, Reds fans will surely be hoping Suso does not pitch up at Tottenham and star for Mauricio Pochettino’s side.
