Craig Noone has fallen out of favour at Cardiff City in recent weeks but can he nail down a place in Warnock’s side?

Craig Noone was one of the real stand-out players during Cardiff City’s one and only Premier League season, in 2013/14.

However, he has failed to replicate that form since dropping back down to the second tier and fans fear he has become ‘too predictable’.

Noone has featured irregularly under Neil Warnock and didn’t make it off the bench for the Bluebirds 3-2 win over Huddersfield Town on the weekend.

The former Brighton winger has featured 15 times for the bluebirds this season but he probably hasn’t started as many as he would have liked.

Noone was linked with a £2 million switch to Norwich City around 18 months back (Wales Online) and he may be subject to an offer or two in January if he isn’t given regular football under Neil Warnock.

The veteran boss brought in Junior Hoilett on a free transfer when he arrived, as well as versatile winger Kieran Richardson, also from the free market.

Hoilett has shone in Cardiff’s three wins from six games and with Anthony Pilkington looking sharp out wide on Saturday, it’s unlikely Noone will secure a starting spot just yet.

Noone has the ability to tear any Championship defence apart but he will need to take any opportunity he gets and follow it up with a real run of consistency.

Neil Warnock said this week that some players will be moved on to raise funds and Craig Noone could become one of those unless he forces his way into the team this side of Christmas.
