New Cardiff City winger Junior Hoilett is expected to put pressure on Craig Noone’s spot in the side but could his arrival actually be good for him?
Neil Warnock has wasted no time strengthening his side with three new free agent signings and one of those players is former QPR wide-man Junior Hoilett.
Hoilett was released by the Hoops at the end of last season but he’s been given a new opportunity by his former boss Warnock.
The arrival of the of the Canadian international will undoubtedly put pressure on wide-men currently at the club and with Anthony Pilkington being a consistent performer across the last year or so, Craig Noone may be the man who sits out for the new arrival.

Noone has struggled to hit the heights he reached while in the Premier League since relegation in 2014 and many Cardiff fans have run out of patience.
The Liverpool-born winger is as dangerous as anyone in the division on his day but since returning to the Championship he’s been all to inconsistent and painfully predictable.
However, Cardiff haven’t been blessed with an awful lot of wingers during the last couple of years and the arrival of Hoilett could force Noone to up his game.

Hoilett often suffers from inconsistency himself so his spot in the starting XI is far from guaranteed but Noone will have to work that much harder for his spot and if he remains out of form then he may remain on the bench.
Very few Cardiff fans doubt Craig Noone’s ability and what he can bring to the team but he needs to ditch the frustrating predictability of his play and the arrival of Junior Hoilett may force that to finally happen.
