Bojan has struggled to nail down a spot in the Stoke starting XI in recent weeks but can he reclaim his place and help Stoke climb out of trouble?

Stoke City star-man Bojan Krkic has found himself on the Stoke City bench for both of the last two fixtures but with his side sitting in the bottom three, can he earn a recall?

The former Barcelona forward has struggled this season and Stoke boss Mark Hughes has recognised that, and given him some time out in recent weeks.

Bojan has featured in five of the Potters’ seven Premier League games so far this season, scored one and only created three chances. According to Squawka, Bojan has only won 41% of his duels and only averaged one defensive action per game, earning him a Squawka performance score of ‘-1’.

The 26-year-old has shone in recent years with five goals in 18 during his first season and seven in 31 during his second.

Bojan’s chances of making the starting line-up haven’t been helped by new signing Joe Allen who has shown fine form since joining from Liverpool.

Allen is usually a more defensive player but he has shown his attacking capabilities during the last fortnight with two goals and two fine performances from two games.

Many Stoke fans are calling for Bojan to return to the line-up in a striker position with Wilfried Bony yet to make his mark in a Stoke shirt.

Bojan has featured in the front-line on a number of occasions for Stoke, Ajax and even Barcelona but will Mark Hughes turn to the Spaniard to help get his team out of trouble?
