Jose Enrique has urged someone to ‘explain’ why Manchester City sold Raheem Sterling to Chelsea and opted to keep Jack Grealish on board instead, as he posted on his Instagram story.
The Premier League champions sold Sterling to Chelsea for £48 million this summer (Sky Sports), less than half of the £100 million the Abu-Dhabi-owned club paid for Grealish to Aston Villa last summer.
The issue facing Grealish is that, since that British record transfer, he has struggled in his new home, including against Liverpool in the Community Shield on Saturday.

He was taken off in the second half by Pep Guardiola, with summer signing, Julian Alvarez, making an impact and equalising not so long after.
What Sterling produced at the Etihad was exceptional, including scoring 100+ goals, but what is Man City’s loss in now Chelsea’s gain, or so it seems.
But Anfield-mad pundit and former left-back, Enrique, has seemingly suggested that call was a mistake, with Grealish’s struggles continuing during the defeat against Liverpool.
“Can someone explain to me how you sell Sterling to Chelsea, then rather have Grealish in your team?” said Enrique. “I couldn’t agree more (with Aguero questioning Sterling sale). Keep Grealish instead… (added with shocked emoji)”

GREALISH £100 MILLION TRANSFER
Whoever the player, whether they are proven, no track record, or trophies galore in your cabinet, when you are going for that sort of money, then people are going to talk.
And even if Grealish was putting up 7/10 performances on a consistent basis, some would still probably question him because they would feel it still doesn’t match the £100 million value put on his head by Man City.
But the England international’s biggest issue has been that he hasn’t even hit 6/10 on a consistent basis and this forthcoming campaign is massive.
If Sterling does the business for Chelsea and Grealish continues to struggle, then it will really be seen as a transfer flop beyond belief from the current champions of England.
