The talented Newcastle winger has had several injury problems.

After breaking into the Newcastle United first-team in 2014 and also making an impact for England at U20 level, the future looked very bright indeed for Rolando Aarons.
The talented young winger was seen as an excellent prospect for both club and country but, fast forward to late 2017 and Aarons has made just 24 senior appearances in total for Newcastle, while he hasn’t been involved in the England set-up over the past few seasons.
Injuries have played a major part in halting Aarons’ development – he missed 27 games in the 2014/15 campaign with a hamstring problem, while he missed much of last season owing to a ruptured Achilles tendon and he has also had several other setbacks.

Aarons has been working hard to regain full fitness and he received a reward last weekend as he featured as a substitute in the 4-1 defeat to Manchester United last weekend.
It was Aarons’ first appearance in the English top flight since May 2016 and he will hope that he won’t have to wait long for his next involvement int he competition, with Newcastle in action at home to Watford on Saturday.
Despite his injuries, Aarons remains a very talented player given his directness and excellent technique. He is certainly capable of offering Newcastle something different this season and he has no worries about his immediate future, with his current contract running until the summer of 2021.

If Aarons works hard and finally manages to get some luck in terms of avoiding injuries then he can still go on to have a successful career at Newcastle.
It will be important for Aarons to not be overly attack minded and to pay attention to his defensive duties, but despite all the difficulties that he has endured there is still a chance for him to fulfil his vast potential.
