Preston North End host Arsenal in the third round of the FA Cup at Deepdale.
Preston North End host Arsenal in the third round of the FA Cup on Saturday. But will they be facing a jubilant Gunners side after their fightback against Bournemouth in midweek or a dejected team that went 3-0 down in the first place?
HITC Sport’s Michael Ramsey and James Rutherford believe that Arsene Wenger’s men will not be reflecting on their point against the Cherries positively.
“Going 3-0 down to Bournemouth, it showed their mental fragility, or did they show their mental strength to come back?” HITC Sport’s Michael asked.
Arsenal’s Alexis Sanchez
“They never should have been 3-0 down in the first place,” James swiftly responded.
If Arsenal are feeling negative after missing what turned out to be an excellent chance to move within six points of the Premier League summit, then there are perhaps few managers better equipped to take advantage than Simon Grayson.
Grayson guided Leeds to a famous third round win over Manchester United in 2010, and took Arsenal to a replay after the Whites put in a spirited display at the Emirates.
Preston manager Simon Grayson
His Preston side are not in too dissimilar a position to the one that Leeds were in for that tie in 2011, so it is surely not out of the question to suggest that an upset could be on the cards.
Interestingly, Michael and James could not agree when it came to predicting who would take a place in the fourth round draw.
