Former Celtic striker Chris Sutton has suggested on social networking site Twitter that Rangers will not finish second in the Scottish Premiership this season.
Rangers are third in the league table at the moment with 51 points from 30 matches, 13 points behind second-placed Aberdeen.
Aberdeen, though, have played a game more. Derek McInnes’s side won 1-0 against Inverness Caledonian Thistle at the Pittodrie Stadium in the Scottish Premiership on Tuesday evening.
Former Celtic striker Sutton does not think that Rangers will end up second in the league table this season.
Rangers still have a chance to end up second, but it depends on how Aberdeen fare in their final games of the season.
What Pedro Caixinha’s side need to do is focus on their own games and try to win them all.
The Gers will return to action on Wednesday evening when they take on Kilmarnock away from home at Rugby Park in the Scottish Premiership.
