Could Celtic finally sign Rekeem Harper after news of Nicky Hammond’s appointment?

Neil Lennon confirmed on Thursday that Nicky Hammond would be joining Celtic as Lee Congerton’s replacement on July 1.
The Hoops have been without a Head of Recruitment since Congerton moved to Leicester City to team up with Brendan Rodgers earlier this summer.
And it looks like Celtic have appointed the former West Bromwich Albion transfer guru, as confirmed by the Northern Irish manager [The Daily Mail].
Interestingly, the Bhoys are linked with a player who Hammond would know well, and could his move to Glasgow now accelerate a deal for West Brom’s Rekeem Harper?
Celtic have been linked with the 19-year-old for over a month – and he’d cost only £235,000 as a compensation fee [The Express & Star].
According to The Daily Mail, he has already been given a VIP tour of Parkhead but getting a deal over the line seems to be taking its time, considering that he watched Lennon’s side in a Premiership game at Paradise toward the end of last season.
But with Hammond now on board as Head of Recruitment, it seems plausible that his arrival could help speed things up a tad.
