Leeds United are reportedly interested in the Derby County star.

From Matej Vydra to Abel Hernandez, Leeds United have been linked with some big-name strikers this summer.
The Derby County man is the player dominating Leeds-related speculation in recent weeks and The Daily Mail have reported that a £12 million bid has been lodged.
This is a player who scored 21 Championship goals last season en route to winning the Golden Boot.

Vydra would undoubtedly bolster Leeds’ promotion chances, but what would become of him if Marcelo Bielsa’s side actually reached the Premier League?

The Czech attacker has previously spent time in the top flight with Watford, but only managed three goals in 24 Premier League outings for the Hornets.
It’s a poor record and if Leeds are going to spend £12 million on a player – their highest transfer fee since signing Robbie Fowler – then should they not be going for a figure who can fire them to the top tier and play a big role in helping them stay there?
Vydra – who also earns £30,000 at Derby according to The Mirror – can certainly get United back to the promised land, but three goals in 24 outings suggests that he probably isn’t going to keep them there.
