The recently released West Ham midfielder shared that a player like Salah has such ‘high’ technical ability and is someone who ‘can make a difference’ like his Etihad rival.
There is something different and special about left-footed players, who seemingly have that extra sparkle to their game when they are either putting opposition defenders on their backsides or putting the ball into the back of the net – Mahrez netted a hat-trick against Burnley on Saturday to prove that point.
Nonetheless, since Salah’s return to the Premier League, Liverpool’s £44 million speed machine [Guardian] has been doing both in bucket loads and it seems Wilshere is a fan of the Egyptian, alongside Mahrez.
“The level is high,” said Wilshere.”The technical level is high. You look at Riyad Mahrez and Mo Salah.
“They are two of the best players in the league. They are players who can make a difference.”
Salah isn’t just one of the best Premier League players plying his trade today, but he is going down as one of the best footballers to grace the Anfield turf.
Given the players that have put on Liverpool’s famous red shirt, it’s some achievement from Salah, who still has plenty more to give.
Added with the Premier League and Champions League trophy he has won on Merseyside, there is no doubt that he will want to become a serial winner in those competitions.
