Caleb Ekuban remains a mystery to Leeds fans, can he become the difference this weekend?

One area where his predecessor was not fortunate concerned summer signing Caleb Ekuban.
Ekuban scored 17 goals in 34 games on loan in Albania last season, convincing Leeds to take a punt and sign him up.
His time under Thomas Christiansen was wrecked by injuries, which have largely kept Ekuban sidelined.
He has one goal in the Carabao Cup, and only six Championship appearances. He is yet to score a league goal but he has looked bright and helped the team with his movement up front.
Ekuban has just lacked luck, and if his fortunes can turn, he could make a big difference to Heckingbottom.
The Ghanaian striker is now approaching fitness, with Heckingbottom telling Leeds Live he is back in training.
Ekuban has become somewhat of a forgotten man, but also one who Leeds fans never really got to know in the first place.
Focus is on new signing Tyler Roberts, while Pierre-Michel Lasogga showed against Millwall what he is capable of.
Ekuban will have to fight for his place in the team and starting against Sheffield United does not seem on the radar.
Roberts’ signing was partly in response to Ekuban not being a factor this season so far, and if he can fight his way into the starting line up and start scoring then it would be a significant bonus for Heckingbottom.
